KITHNOS BEACHES

The island has unique beaches that shape graphic creeks, bights with crystal waters and natural shade.

One of the most beautiful beaches of Kithnos is Loutra. You can swim at selected spots to catch currents from the spa.

Near Loutra we meet the beaches of Ayia Irini and Schinari.  The island allocates a lot of small and graphic beaches such as Kavouroheri located between the beach Potamia and the region of Maroylas.

Kouri is a picturesque beach located between Naoussa and Zogaki coves. To the road to Kalo Livadi you will meet the small beach of Liotrivi. If you pass Merihas on the road towards Loutra you can swim in the small beach of Martinakia.

In the southern side of the island near the settlement of Ayios Dimitrios you will find one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of Kithnos. From there you can reach the small beach of Petroussa.

On the southern side, near the beaches of Naoussa and Kouri you will find Zogaki linked by stepped footpaths.

Megali Ammos Kanalas is a large, sand beach on the second bay of the church. You can swim on the left-hand bay in the beach of Antonides.

In the Eastern side of Kithnos you will meet the beach of Ayios Stefanos. It is a
sheltered beach on the island’s eastern coast with sand, pebble, and natural shade from tamarisks growing along the shoreline.

Near the small church of Ayios Sostis in the northern point of the island, you will meet a beautiful beach with fine pebbles and sand. Along the route to Ayios Sostis you will meet Potamia, a sheltered and shady beach.

You can swim in Apokrousi beach one of the longest beaches with sand and natural shade and Gaidouromantra a large sandy beach with crystal waters.

For those who prefer quiet swimming, they can visit Mavrianos in the eastern coast, Simousi in the south-eastern coast and Stifo along the road of Ayios Dimitrios.

Kolona beach is from the most impressive beaches of the island divided by a low sandbank into two sand beaches.

Fykiada is a beach with golden sand framed by a gorgeous setting.

Flambouria is a large sand and pebble beach marked by the church of Panayia Flambouriani.

You can swim in the sheltered cover of Episkopi with sand and tamarisks growing along the shore.

Merihas beach is located next to Merihas village, with pristine waters and fine sand.

Trivlakas is a small bay on the island’s western coast.

Kalo Livadi is located on the island’s south-eastern coast; it is marked by the church of Panayia Kalolivadiotissa perched on a rocky outcrop.

You can also swim in Kavouroheri, a small beach located between Potamia, Maroula and Lefkes in front the Lefkes settlement; sand, pebbles, and natural shade.
