KITHNOS LOCAL EVENTS

Each year during July and August the festival of Kithnia is organized with cultural events. 

The paniyiri is a combination of religious and folk feast held to observance saint’s days and other important dates, featuring traditional foods and music. Many feasts are organized during the whole year, some of them are; In April 23 Ayios Georgios, in June Ayia Triada, in June 30 Ayii Apostoloi, in July 20 Profitis Ilias, in July 26 Ayia Paraskevi, in August 6 Sotiros, in August 15 Panayias Kanala, Panayia tou Nikous and Panayias Stratolatissa, in August 23 Panayia tou Kastrou and Panayia Flambouriani and in September 8 Panayia Kanala.
