This area is one of the greatest archaeological sights and was a major attraction of many excavations. On the western side of the ancient marble figurines discovered in high-value, the «Arpistis» and the « Avlitis» are exposed in the Archaeological Museum of Athens. The impressive figurine of «Megali Mitera» has a 1.40 m. height. Major findings are also found in the Cycladid cemetery of Keros.

Surveys claim that the Cycladic style figurines that have been found on the island, were the inspiration of a female figure who dominates the crest of the island. A unique attraction of the island is the feminine form, lying over the waters of the Aegean, thus giving magnificent spectacle to all visitors.
