MYKONOS BEACHES

In Mykonos you will find some of the most popular beaches in Cyclades well organised. In the southern side of island you will find many of the best beaches of Mykonos. The island allocates very good road network and the access to the beaches it’s very easy. Also, the summertime, a lot of southern beaches are connected with each other with small boats with regular sailing all day.

In the harbour of Chora there is a small beach. In the southern side of the island you can swim in Megali Ammos, one of the most popular beaches of Mykonos.

Platis Yialos is from most popular beaches of Mykonos, with hotels, restaurants, cafeterias and bars. The beach is connected with small boats with the southern beaches at Paraga, Kalamopodi, Plintri, Agrari, and Elia. Near Paraga you will find the beach of Ayia Anna with two organised campings.

Ornos is a sheltered beach located south of Korfos. The beach is a small fishing harbour with good anchorage for leisure craft. She is very well organised with hotels, restaurants, bars and a diving school.

Psarou is a well organized beach, with water sports, including a diving school.

Paradise or Kalamopodi is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches of Mykonos gained international fame thanks to the hippies. There you will have the ability to perform water sports. The biggest camping of the island is also located there.

Super Paradise or Plintri is the most famous beach of Mykonos. Very popular among young people, and hip, it’s also been a destination for VIPs since the 50s and celebrity-spotting continues to date, with reason. The beach also has a reputation for attracting eccentrics and eccentric behaviour.

In the northern side we meet Panormos or Ayios Sostisis located. The beach maintains the natural beauty and it is pole of attraction for those who love surfing.

Elia is a pretty, expansive and popular beach. Elia is the last stop on the water transport route from Platis Yialos.

For those who prefer quiet swimming and less crowded beaches can visit Ayia Anna and Kalafatis; Two beautiful sandy beaches with crystal waters separated by the Divounta peninsula with its fishing harbour. Both offer a pretty landscape, amenities that include a diving and surfing school, and good transportation.

Agrari is another pretty beach, slightly more isolated for swimmers who shun crowds.

In the northern side of Chora you can swim in Tourlos and Ayios Stefanos. The region has been developed in the past few years and it assembles big number of visitors.

Korfos and Ftelia are the favourite beaches of surfers.

If you want to enjoy the view towards Delos you should swim in the waters of Ayios Ioannis. The beach is located in the western side and is not particularly secular.

Finally, in the southern side you will find Lyia beach. A graphic sandy beach with coastal fish-taverns located in the furthest point of the southern beaches.
